International Basketball Camp in Spain Description

1 or 2 week International Development Basketball Summer Camp for boys and girsl (June 23 - July 7): Instructional and development Basketball Training Camp for youth players from 12 to 18 years old with personalized, individual instruction in all phases of basketball, for players of intermediate and advanced basketball level, for children and juniors playing basketball in a Basketball Club or in High School.

ZadorSpain, operating in Vitoria since 1990 and in Alicante since 2004, organizes study abroad programs for foreigners looking for learning and improving their Spanish language skills and having a rewarding language immersion program in Spain.
ZADOR offers different kinds of Junior Programs in Spain (Spanish course plus Sports Summer Camps with Spanish teens) in July and August, either for students enrolled individually or for groups. These Junior summer camps are a complete language immersion and a good opportunity to combine studies with holidays, Spanish classes with sportive and cultural activities with Spanish youngsters
Spanish language & Basketball Camp is the result of a partnership between ZadorSpain and Baskonia Vitoria Basketball and Sport Foundation. Baskonia Basketball Club, one the best european basketball teams, has a long history, reaching this year its 60th Anniversary. Baskonia, through its Basketball School, has been organizing Summer Basketball Camps for more than 30 years and Development Basketball Camp in the last 11 years.
Basketball Camp premises
BAKH, Buesa Arena Pavilion, Sports Center of Baskonia, University Sport Center and another Arena are the premises for the Basketball Camp.
The BaKh houses 3 basketball courts (FIBA dimensions) for daily instruction, a fitness area, swimming pools (outdoor and indoor), restaurants, and cafés.
Buesa Arena ( in front of Bakh and near the accommodation) houses 2 courts.
University Sport Center and Ariznavarra Sports Hall house 3 basketball courts and Abetxuko Sport Center houses 3 more basketball courts.
Residence/Dormitory is a two-building complex, with mini apartaments (4 players per apartment), with private garden, common areas, dining room, computer room.
Baskonia Sport Center and Residence/Dormitory are situated on the East of Vitoria’s outskirts facing a beautiful, safe and quiet Park in the Green Belt of the city.
Eligible players
Boys and girls who are already playing basketball and want to have intensive basketball training for 1 or 2 weeks in Europe.
The main requirement to participate in this Basketball Camp is motivation: players have to be highly motivated to improve their basketball skills and to play 3 intense basketball sessions per day, except on Wednesday when players only train the morning.
Only 220 campers, both males and females aged from 12 to 18, will be allowed to attend the Basketball training camp in order to ensure and maintain intensity and a high technical level.
Only 40 campers, both males and females aged from 9 to 11 (only the first week camp from 23 to 30 June), will be allowed to attend the Minibasketball training camp.
Basketball Camp Coaches
Experienced, qualified coaches and professional basketball coaches. Most of them basketball professionals with long experience in instructional basketball camps for youngsters. Coaches that know basketball and have the ability to teach to push young players’ current skills to the next level of competition.
Basketball Training Program
Basketball skills development Camp with personalized, individual instruction in all phases of basketball, for players of intermediate and advanced skill levels:
• Drill groups organized by skill/age
• Appropriate drills for each player and drill group
• League games and scrimmages
Each camper will practice on: game conditioning, footwork, individual defense, man to man pressure, dribbling and and ball handling, passing, offensive moves, shooting, screening and blocking, rebounding, one on one moves, 2on2 and 3on3, and, of course, a Basketball Camp league.
